| Words from the 2011 Reunion Committee |
Martha Lou Watson Jeans
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! We certainly have had
an awesome family reunion! You are the main reason
for our success! Without your outstanding attendance
and support, we would not have had this wonderful
event. However, we give GOD all the GLORY for without
HIM nothing is possible. HIS presence was indeed felt
all over the weekend!
Secondly, I want to thank this fantastic committee of
2011: Dayle McCray, LaDell Patterson, Felisia Martin,
Shirley Harris, Julia Bentley, Lori Washington, Mary Miller,
Raymond Watson, James Moody, and Jerrian Harris.
You have given your soul, heart, time, effort, talent and
money. Whatever was asked of you; you delivered with a
sweet spirit! I want you to know I treasure every moment
of working with you and I pray we all can work the magic
one more year!
We would like to extend an invitation to all our family
members to join the committee and share your ideas,
talent, wisdom, and insights to make 2012 an even more
terrific and exciting event! There's plenty of work to do.
We need help with our new Scholarship and Family
History programs.
Last, but not least, I would like to thank all of our young
people who participated in the Talent Show that brought
laughter to our faces and filled our hearts with joy! Wow!
You are so talented! Keep believing in yourselves!
Special thanks to everyone who worked on the Serving ,
Food, Clean Up, Set Up, and Reception committees.
You did a magnificent job!
In summary, we are like a gigantic puzzle with each one
of us being one piece of the puzzle. When we all bring
our talents and gifts and put them together, we make one
big beautiful picture!

wants us to be - This is how He shares His love, for the
family is of GOD. He wants us see our many family
members often and know all we can about them and
their families by assembling together. What a

I wouldn't call me instrumental. You guys did all the
heavy lifting. I can definitely say I reaped the benefits
because this reunion was OUTSTANDING! From the
history, to the words of advice/family challenge, to the
food, games and entertainment, hands down, this
was spectacular on every level. The affordable pricing
was a key component, and attendees received our
money's worth and more. The t-shirts and unity color
theme were also pluses. To wrap it all together, we
had the greatest MC in the world (Go Jerrian!).
Everything about the reunion was fabulous and I want
to say thank you to you, Lou and many others who
worked so hard to make it a success! God bless you,
and may God continue to bless our family!

I would like to thank the committee for a beautiful reunion this year. I
enjoyed spending time with familiar and new faces, great food, activities,
music, photos, and comfortable overnight arrangements.
In an effort to recapture those moments, I am excited (and quite busy)
serving you as Reunion Coordinator 2012 in Chicago, Illinois! My goal is
to create a memorable celebration as we keep the roots and branches
of the family tree grounded and connected.
Please feel free to join the committee or stay tuned as we take you on a
journey through the Windy City's rich culture. Our theme for this year is “A
Legacy of Strength”. I look forward to seeing everyone again really soon.
